SIX AVIATION COMPANIES COMPETING FOR IAF CONTRACT FOR 110 FIGHTER JETS

Six global aviation companies are competing for Indian AirForce contract for procuring 110 fighter jets. This includes Boeing's  F/A-18E/F SuperHornet, Lockheed Martin's  F-16  Fighting Falcon, Dassault Aviation's Rafale, Eurofighter  Typhoon, Saab's Gripen and Russian  United  Aircraft  Corporation's  MiG-35. The contract includes both single engine and twin engine fighter aircraft. Both  F-16  and Gripen are single-engined aircraft whereas the remaining four are twin-engined.
