USA  withdraws  from  Intermediate-Range  Nuclear  Forces  Treaty  signed  in  1987   between  US  President  Ronald  Reagan  and  USSR  President  Mikhail  Gorbachev. The  treaty  bans  development, testing  and  possession  of   short  and  medium-ranged  ground  launched  nuclear  missiles (range  500-5000km), all  nuclear  and  conventional  missiles (short range 500-1000km, intermediate-range 1000-5500km). The  objective  of  the  treaty  was  to  end  the  arms  race  between  USA  and  USSR  during  cold  war  and  ensure  stability  in  Europe.
